Accessibility Statement

Shift AI Technology Ltd, trading as Deep Space Commodities, wants the course to be usable by as many people as possible, including learners who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on captions, need magnification or high contrast, or have a cognitive or learning difference.

We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA. We are stating that as a target we design against, not as a certified achievement. The site has not been independently audited and we have not tested every page against every success criterion, so we are not going to claim full conformance. What follows is what we have actually done and what we know is still missing.

• Keyboard navigation. The course can be operated without a mouse. Lesson navigation, quizzes, exams and account pages are reachable and operable by keyboard, and focus is visible as you move through the page.
• Semantic structure. Pages are built with proper headings, lists, landmarks and form labels rather than unlabelled containers, so a screen reader can announce the structure of a page and jump between sections.
• Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry alternative text, and decorative images are marked so that assistive technology skips them rather than reading them out.
• High-contrast dark interface. The interface uses a dark theme chosen for contrast, which also suits learners who find bright white backgrounds tiring.
• Responsive layout. Pages reflow rather than requiring horizontal scrolling, and the course is genuinely usable on a phone, including watching lessons and taking quizzes.
• Text resizing. Text can be enlarged using ordinary browser zoom without content being cut off or overlapping.
• Captions on every lesson. All 73 lessons have a caption file, and the player carries a subtitles control that turns them on and off.
• Transcripts where available. Twenty-two of the 73 lessons currently have a written transcript, which can be read rather than watched, searched, or run through a screen reader at your own pace.
• Untimed learning. Everything except the module exam is untimed, so no part of learning depends on reacting quickly. Lessons can be paused and replayed without limit.

These are the gaps we are aware of. We would rather list them than let a learner discover them after paying.

• Transcripts are not yet available for every lesson. Twenty-two of the 73 lessons have one, and we are working through the remainder. If a lesson you need has no transcript, ask us and we will produce one for you.
• Some graphics shown in the video are data-dense — charts, market breakdowns, comparison tables — and the narration does not always describe them fully enough for a learner who cannot see them. In those lessons, audio alone may not carry the whole point. This is the limitation we consider most significant, and it is the one we are prioritising.
• Captions are machine-generated and reviewed rather than produced to a broadcast standard. They are accurate for ordinary speech, but specialist terminology, company names and acronyms are occasionally mistranscribed.
• The site has not been independently audited or user-tested with a panel of disabled learners, so there may be problems we have not found.
• The AI tutor produces free text in an ordinary text panel. It is keyboard accessible and readable by a screen reader, but the flow of a long generated answer has not been tuned for screen reader use.
• The course is delivered only in English, which is discussed further in our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy.

We will acknowledge the request within 3 working days and tell you when to expect the material. A single transcript or graphic description is normally supplied within 5 working days; a larger request may take longer, and if so we will give you a date. There is no charge for this, and you do not need to explain why you need it.

Module exams have a 30-minute time limit. That limit can be extended for learners who need additional time, and no medical evidence is required. Exam attempts can also be reset where an assistive technology failure or a condition affected a sitting.

Ask before you begin an exam where you can, because an extension has to be applied to your account before the attempt starts. If you find something that does not work with your assistive technology, or that is simply hard to use, tell us at info@spaceeconomy.education. It helps if you can include the page or lesson, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the browser, device and assistive technology you were using — but report it even if you cannot supply all of that.

We will acknowledge your report within 3 working days and tell you what we intend to do and by when. Where a fix will take time, we will offer a workaround or an alternative format in the meantime so that you are not held up. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can pursue it under our Complaints and Appeals policy, which commits us to a written decision within 15 working days and to a second review by someone not involved in the first.

Reports of accessibility problems are logged alongside complaints and reviewed for patterns, so a fault that affects more than one learner is fixed at source rather than worked around case by case.

We check pages by keyboard-only navigation when we change them, and we review this statement against what the course actually does rather than against what we intend it to do. We do not currently run automated accessibility testing as a gate on releases, and we are not going to imply otherwise. That makes learner reports our most reliable signal, which is why we treat them as a priority rather than as feedback.

This statement is reviewed every 12 months, and updated sooner whenever we fix one of the limitations listed above or become aware of a new one. It is meant to describe the course as it is on the date shown at the top of this page, not as we intend it to be.
